Volunteering is what makes our club work - how you can make a big difference!

Season 2026-27 -We are looking for volunteers for: Jumps officials, Throws officials, Starters, Roster Manager, Competition Director, Centre Table and Frist Aid.

The Importance of Volunteering at Keilor Little Athletics Centre

Keilor Little Athletics Centre has always been more than a place to run, jump, and throw, it’s a community built on enthusiasm, teamwork, and the generosity of volunteers. Every meet, every PB, and every smiling young athlete is made possible because people choose to give their time.

Creating a Positive Experience for Young Athletes

From setting up equipment to recording results, volunteers shape the environment our athletes grow in. Their encouragement, patience, and energy help children feel supported, confident, and excited to take part each week.

Ensuring Fair, Safe, and Smooth Competition
Athletics relies on accuracy and organisation. Starters, timekeepers, marshals, and event helpers keep the program running safely and efficiently. Their commitment allows athletes to focus on doing their best, knowing the event is in good hands.

Building a Strong, Connected Community
Keilor LAC thrives because families get involved. Volunteering brings parents, carers, and supporters together, creating friendships and a sense of belonging that extends beyond the track. It’s one of the reasons our centre feels so welcoming.

Keeping Athletics Affordable and Accessible
By volunteering, families help keep costs down and opportunities open. The time people give ensures that Keilor LAC can continue offering a high‑quality program without placing financial pressure on families.

Leaving a Legacy for Future Athletes
Every volunteer contributes to the long-term success of the centre. Their efforts help create memories, traditions, and a positive sporting culture that future generations of Keilor athletes will benefit from.

At the beginning of the season, we ask all parents to sign the Family Duty Agreement form before any patches are handed out. Please see below as a reminder of the agreement:  Each family is required to complete SIX (6) rostered duties during the season.
